Paul Anka is a Canadian-American singer, songwriter, and actor who was born on July 30, 1941, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He gained fame in the late 1950s and 1960s with hits such as "Diana," "Lonely Boy," and "Put Your Head on My Shoulder." Anka has had a successful career spanning over six decades, with over 900 songs to his credit, including writing the English lyrics for Frank Sinatra's iconic song "My Way."
In addition to his music career, Anka has also appeared in films and television shows, including a cameo in the movie "The Longest Day" and as a guest star on various TV series. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005. Anka continues to perform and record music, showcasing his enduring talent and influence in the music industry.
