Paul Hyde is a Canadian musician best known as the lead singer of the band The Payolas. The Payolas were a new wave rock band formed in Vancouver in 1979. The band's sound blended elements of punk, rock, and pop, and they achieved commercial success in the 1980s with hits such as "Eyes of a Stranger" and "Never Said I Loved You."
In addition to his work with The Payolas, Paul Hyde has also released solo albums and collaborated with other artists. The band disbanded in the late 1980s, but reunited briefly in the 2000s for a few performances. Paul Hyde & Payolas left a lasting impact on the Canadian music scene and are remembered for their catchy melodies and energetic performances.
