Paul Revere & The Raiders was an American rock band formed in Boise, Idaho in 1958. The band was led by organist and keyboardist Paul Revere, who was known for his distinctive Revolutionary War-inspired outfit and tricorn hat. Mark Lindsay was the lead singer of the band and was known for his dynamic stage presence and energetic vocals. Together, Paul Revere & The Raiders achieved commercial success in the 1960s with hits such as "Kicks," "Hungry," and "Good Thing." They were known for their upbeat garage rock sound and were a prominent part of the "Northwest Sound" along with bands like The Kingsmen and The Sonics.
Mark Lindsay eventually took on a more prominent role in the band, with the group being billed as Paul Revere & The Raiders featuring Mark Lindsay. The band continued to release music and tour throughout the 1960s and 1970s, with Lindsay eventually leaving the group in 1975 to pursue a solo career. Paul Revere & The Raiders were inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2007 in recognition of their contributions to the music industry.
