Paul Revere & The Raiders was an American rock band formed in 1958 in Boise, Idaho. The band was led by organist and vocalist Paul Revere, known for his distinctive look of a Revolutionary War-inspired outfit. Mark Lindsay, the lead singer, joined the band in 1958 and became one of the most recognizable members with his strong vocals and charismatic stage presence. The band achieved mainstream success in the 1960s with hits such as "Kicks," "Hungry," and "Indian Reservation."
Mark Lindsay eventually took on a more prominent role in the band, and in the late 1960s, the band was officially renamed Paul Revere & The Raiders Featuring Mark Lindsay. The band's high-energy performances and catchy songs made them popular on the music charts and on television shows like "Where the Action Is." They were inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2007, recognizing their contribution to the music industry.
