Artist Bio:
Pebbles is the stage name of American singer-songwriter and music executive Perri Alette McKissack. She is best known for her hit songs in the late 1980s and early 1990s, including "Girlfriend" and "Mercedes Boy." Pebbles started her music career as a backing vocalist for artists like Con Funk Shun and Jermaine Stewart before launching her solo career. She released her debut album, "Pebbles," in 1987, which spawned several successful singles and earned her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Pebbles also found success as a music executive, founding her own record label, Pebbitone, and managing the career of popular girl group TLC.

In addition to her music career, Pebbles has also been involved in various business ventures, including a line of fragrances and a clothing line. Despite her success in the music industry, Pebbles has faced some controversy over the years, particularly in relation to her business dealings with TLC, who accused her of unfair treatment and mismanagement.
