Como's successful career also extended to television, where he hosted his own variety show, "The Perry Como Show," which aired from 1948 to 1963. Known for his casual and easygoing demeanor, Como became a beloved figure in American households. He received multiple awards throughout his career, including Grammy Awards and a Kennedy Center Honor. Perry Como passed away on May 12, 2001, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of music and entertainment.
