Perry Como was an American singer and television personality, born on May 18, 1912, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. He was known for his smooth, relaxed vocal style and his warm personality, earning him the nickname "Mr. C." Como started his music career in the 1930s and became one of the most popular and successful vocalists of the 20th century.


Throughout his career, Perry Como released numerous hit songs, including "Catch a Falling Star," "Magic Moments," and "It's Impossible." He also hosted his own television show, "The Perry Como Show," which ran from 1955 to 1963 and then again from 1963 to 1966. Como was honored with multiple awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002. He passed away on May 12, 2001, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most beloved entertainers in American music history.
