Perry Como was an American singer and television personality who was born on May 18, 1912, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. He rose to fame in the 1940s and 1950s with a string of hits including "Till the End of Time" and "Prisoner of Love." Como's smooth baritone voice and relaxed, easygoing style endeared him to audiences across the United States.


Como's career spanned over six decades, during which he sold millions of records and won numerous awards, including multiple Grammy Awards. He also found success on television with his own variety show, "The Perry Como Show," which ran from 1955 to 1963 and then from 1966 to 1967. Como was known for his warm personality and timeless hits, solidifying his legacy as one of the most popular and enduring entertainers of the 20th century. Perry Como passed away on May 12, 2001, in Jupiter Inlet Colony, Florida, at the age of 88.
