Perry Como was an American singer and television personality who was born on May 18, 1912, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and passed away on May 12, 2001, in Florida. He began his career as a professional singer in the 1930s and rose to fame in the 1940s with hits such as "Till the End of Time" and "Prisoner of Love."


Como was known for his smooth and relaxed singing style, earning him the nickname "Mr. Relaxation." He had a successful career in music, releasing numerous hit songs and albums, and winning multiple awards including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002. Como also had a successful television career, hosting his own variety show, "The Perry Como Show," which ran from 1948 to 1963. He was a beloved figure in the entertainment industry and left a lasting legacy as one of the most popular and enduring entertainers of his time.
