Artist Bio:
Pete Seeger (1919-2014) was an American folk singer and social activist known for his contributions to the American folk music revival and the civil rights movement. He was a prominent figure in the development of folk music as a political and social force in the United States. Seeger was a member of the Weavers, a popular folk group in the 1950s, and was known for his protest songs, including "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" and "Turn, Turn, Turn."


Seeger was also a key figure in the environmental movement, using his music to raise awareness about environmental issues. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015 for his contributions to American music. Seeger's music continues to inspire generations of musicians and activists around the world.
