Pete Seeger (1919-2014) was an American folk singer and social activist known for his contributions to the American folk music revival and the civil rights movement. Seeger was a member of the Weavers, a popular folk group in the 1950s, and was known for his protest songs, including "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" and "Turn, Turn, Turn."
