Artist Bio

Artist Bio:
Peter and Gordon were a British pop duo consisting of Peter Asher and Gordon Waller. They were part of the British Invasion in the 1960s and gained popularity with their debut single "A World Without Love," written by Paul McCartney of the Beatles. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1964.

The duo continued to release several successful singles, including "Nobody I Know" and "I Go to Pieces," both of which reached the top 10 on the charts. Peter and Gordon were known for their close harmonies and catchy melodies, and they were one of the few British Invasion acts to have success in both the UK and the US. They disbanded in 1968 but reunited for occasional performances over the years. Peter Asher went on to have a successful career as a music producer, while Gordon Waller pursued a solo career before his passing in 2009.
