Artist Bio:
Peter and Gordon were a British pop duo formed by Peter Asher and Gordon Waller in the early 1960s. They are best known for their hit songs "A World Without Love" and "I Go to Pieces," which both reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States. The duo's music was characterized by their close harmonies and catchy melodies, drawing on influences from the British Invasion sound of the time.
Peter and Gordon were one of the few British Invasion acts signed to a major American record label, Capitol Records. They enjoyed commercial success in the mid-1960s, with several of their singles charting in both the UK and the US. The duo disbanded in 1968, with both members pursuing solo careers in the music industry. Peter Asher went on to become a successful music producer, while Gordon Waller continued to perform as a solo artist until his passing in 2009.
