The duo is best known for their hit songs "A World Without Love" written by Paul McCartney, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1964, and "Nobody I Know" which peaked at No. 12 on the same chart. They also had other successful singles including "I Go to Pieces" and "True Love Ways".

Peter and Gordon met while attending the Westminster School in London and began performing together in the early 1960s. They had a successful career throughout the mid-1960s, releasing several albums and singles before disbanding in 1968. Peter Asher went on to become a successful music producer, while Gordon Waller pursued a solo career before his passing in 2009.
