Peter And Gordon were a British pop duo consisting of Peter Asher and Gordon Waller. They achieved commercial success in the mid-1960s with their soft, folk-influenced music. The duo's biggest hit was "A World Without Love," written by Paul McCartney of The Beatles, which topped the charts in both the UK and the US in 1964. They also had other notable hits such as "I Go to Pieces" and "True Love Ways."
Peter And Gordon were known for their close harmonies and melodic sound, which appealed to a wide audience during the British Invasion of the 1960s. The duo disbanded in 1968 but reunited for occasional performances in the following decades. Peter Asher went on to have a successful career as a record producer and manager, while Gordon Waller pursued a solo career before his passing in 2009.
