Artist Bio:
Peter Brown is a British artist known for his realistic depictions of urban landscapes, particularly of London. He was born in 1967 in Reading, Berkshire, and studied at Manchester Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art. Brown is a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the New English Art Club. He has won several awards for his work, including the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize in 2002 and the ROI Cornelissen Prize in 2008.
Brown's paintings capture the everyday scenes of city life with a focus on capturing the changing light and atmosphere of the urban environment.
