Artist Bio:
Peter Brown is a British contemporary artist known for his urban landscapes, particularly of London. He was born in 1967 in Reading, Berkshire, and studied at Manchester Polytechnic and the Royal Academy Schools in London. Brown often paints en plein air, capturing the bustling city scenes with loose, expressive brushwork and a keen eye for light and atmosphere. His work is characterized by its rich, vibrant colors and dynamic compositions, which convey a sense of movement and energy.
Brown has received numerous awards for his art, including the Prince of Wales Award for Portrait Drawing in 2002 and the Changing Faces Prize at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition in 2008. His paintings can be found in public and private collections around the world, and he has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally. Peter Brown is also a member of the New English Art Club and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
