Peter Cetera is an American singer, songwriter, and bass player best known for his time as the lead vocalist of the rock band Chicago. He joined the band in 1967 and sang on many of their biggest hits, including "If You Leave Me Now" and "Hard to Say I'm Sorry." Cetera's distinctive tenor voice and romantic ballads helped define Chicago's sound during the 1970s and 1980s.
In 1985, Cetera left Chicago to pursue a solo career and found success with hits like "Glory of Love" and "The Next Time I Fall." He continued to release solo albums and collaborate with other artists throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Cetera was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Chicago in 2016.
