Peter Nero is an American pianist and conductor who was born on May 22, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York. He is well-known for his versatile music career, which includes performing classical music, jazz, and pop music. Nero has won two Grammy Awards for Best New Artist in 1961 and Best Instrumental Arrangement in 1963.


Nero has released over 67 albums throughout his career and has performed with various orchestras around the world. He served as the music director and conductor of the Philly Pops orchestra from 1979 to 2013, where he was known for his dynamic and engaging performances. Nero continues to be an active performer and conductor, delighting audiences with his impressive piano skills and musical versatility.
