Peter, Paul & Mary was a folk music trio formed in the early 1960s. The group consisted of Peter Yarrow, Noel Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers. They were known for their close vocal harmonies and socially conscious lyrics, which often addressed political and social issues of the time.


Peter, Paul & Mary achieved commercial success with their self-titled debut album released in 1962, which included the hit single "Lemon Tree." They are also well-known for their cover of Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind," which became an anthem for the civil rights movement. The trio continued to release music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, earning several Grammy Awards and remaining influential figures in the folk music scene.
