Artist Bio:
Peter, Paul & Mary were an American folk-singing trio formed in the early 1960s. The group consisted of Peter Yarrow, Noel Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers. They were known for their beautiful vocal harmonies and politically charged lyrics, often singing about social justice issues such as civil rights, peace, and the environment.
Peter, Paul & Mary achieved great commercial success, with their self-titled debut album released in 1962 reaching the top 10 on the Billboard charts. They are best known for songs like "Blowin' in the Wind" and "Puff, the Magic Dragon." The trio continued to record and perform together for many years, leaving a lasting impact on the folk music scene and inspiring generations of musicians. Mary Travers passed away in 2009, but Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey have continued to keep the spirit of Peter, Paul & Mary alive through their music and activism.
