Peter Wolf is an American musician best known as the lead vocalist of the J. Geils Band, a rock group that gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s. Wolf was born on March 7, 1946, in the Bronx, New York. In addition to his work with the J. Geils Band, he has also released several solo albums, starting with "Lights Out" in 1984.
Throughout his career, Peter Wolf has been praised for his energetic stage presence and distinctive voice. He has collaborated with a variety of artists, including Aretha Franklin, Mick Jagger, and Keith Richards. In addition to his music career, Wolf has also worked as a DJ on Boston radio station WBCN and as a music executive at various record labels.
