Phil Collins is an English musician, singer, and songwriter, born on January 30, 1951, in London, England. He is best known for his work as the drummer and lead vocalist for the rock band Genesis, as well as for his successful solo career. Collins joined Genesis in 1970 and became the band's lead vocalist after Peter Gabriel's departure in 1975. He achieved great success with Genesis, releasing hit songs like "Invisible Touch" and "Land of Confusion."


Collins also had a highly successful solo career, releasing multiple albums that included chart-topping hits such as "In the Air Tonight" and "Against All Odds." He has won multiple Grammy Awards and Academy Awards for his music, and is known for his distinctive voice and emotional songwriting. In addition to his music career, Collins is also an actor and has appeared in films such as "Hook" and "The Jungle Book 2."
