Phil Seymour was an American musician and songwriter, best known for his work as a solo artist and as a member of the power pop duo, The Dwight Twilley Band. Born on May 15, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Seymour began his music career in the 1970s, gaining recognition for his strong vocals and catchy melodies. In addition to his work with The Dwight Twilley Band, Seymour released two solo albums, "Phil Seymour" in 1980 and "Phil Seymour 2" in 1982.


Seymour's music was characterized by its energetic and melodic sound, drawing influence from artists like The Beatles and The Byrds. Despite his promising career, Seymour tragically passed away on August 17, 1993, at the age of 41, due to lymphoma. His music continues to be celebrated by fans of power pop and he is remembered as a talented artist who left behind a lasting legacy in the music industry.
