Phyllis McGuire was an American singer and member of the popular 1950s singing trio The McGuire Sisters. Born on February 14, 1931, in Middletown, Ohio, McGuire began performing with her sisters, Christine and Dorothy, in the mid-1950s. The McGuire Sisters achieved great success with hits like "Sincerely" and "Sugartime," becoming one of the most popular female singing groups of the era.
Phyllis McGuire also gained attention for her high-profile romantic relationships, including a well-publicized affair with mobster Sam Giancana. After the group disbanded in the 1960s, McGuire embarked on a solo career and made appearances on television shows and in Las Vegas. She passed away on December 29, 2020, at the age of 89.
