Artist Bio:
Player was a short-lived American rock band formed in 1977 in Los Angeles, California. The band consisted of Peter Beckett (guitar, vocals), J.C. Crowley (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Ronn Moss (bass, vocals), John Friesen (drums), and Wayne Cook (keyboards). Player is best known for their hit single "Baby Come Back," released in 1977. The song reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified gold by the RIAA. Player's self-titled debut album, which featured "Baby Come Back," was also successful, reaching #13 on the Billboard 200 chart. Despite their initial success, Player struggled to replicate the same level of commercial success with their subsequent albums.

Following the release of their second album, Player disbanded in 1982. Peter Beckett continued to work as a songwriter and producer, collaborating with various artists in the music industry. Ronn Moss pursued a successful acting career, most notably starring in the long-running soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful." Despite their relatively short career, Player's music continues to be celebrated by fans of 1970s rock music.
