Poison is an American rock band formed in 1983 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The band achieved commercial success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their glam metal sound. The original lineup consisted of Bret Michaels (lead vocals), C.C. DeVille (guitar), Bobby Dall (bass), and Rikki Rockett (drums).
Poison released their debut album, "Look What the Cat Dragged In," in 1986, which featured hits like "Talk Dirty to Me" and "I Want Action." They followed up with successful albums such as "Open Up and Say... Ahh!" and "Flesh & Blood." The band's music often featured catchy hooks, anthemic choruses, and glam-influenced aesthetics. Poison continues to tour and release new music, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
