Poison is an American rock band formed in 1983 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The band's original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Bret Michaels, guitarist Matt Smith, bassist Bobby Dall, and drummer Rikki Rockett. They achieved commercial success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their glam metal sound.
Poison released their debut album, "Look What the Cat Dragged In," in 1986, which featured hits like "Talk Dirty to Me" and "I Want Action." The band went on to release several more successful albums, including "Open Up and Say... Ahh!" and "Flesh & Blood." Poison is known for their energetic live performances and their glam rock image, which helped them become one of the most successful bands of the hair metal era.
