Artist Bio:
Porter Wagoner was an American country music artist and television host born on August 12, 1927, in West Plains, Missouri. He gained fame in the 1950s through his successful country music career, known for his distinctive rhinestone-studded Nudie suits and flashy stage presence. Wagoner released numerous hit singles during his career, including "A Satisfied Mind" and "The Carroll County Accident."


In addition to his music career, Porter Wagoner hosted the popular television show "The Porter Wagoner Show" from 1960 to 1981, which helped launch the career of Dolly Parton, who was his frequent duet partner. Wagoner was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2002 in recognition of his contributions to the country music industry. He passed away on October 28, 2007, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of country music.
