Artist Bio:
The Pretenders are a British-American rock band formed in 1978 in Hereford, England. The band's original members included lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Chrissie Hynde, lead guitarist James Honeyman-Scott, bassist Pete Farndon, and drummer Martin Chambers. They achieved commercial success with hits like "Brass in Pocket," "Back on the Chain Gang," and "Don't Get Me Wrong."

The band's music is characterized by a mix of punk, new wave, and pop rock elements. Chrissie Hynde's distinctive voice and songwriting have been key to the band's enduring popularity. Over the years, the Pretenders have undergone several lineup changes due to the deaths of Honeyman-Scott and Farndon, but Hynde has remained a constant presence. The band has released several critically acclaimed albums and continues to tour and record new music.
