Artist Bio:
Prince, whose full name was Prince Rogers Nelson, was an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Born on June 7, 1958, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Prince was known for his eclectic music style that combined elements of rock, R&B, funk, and pop. He released his debut album, "For You," in 1978 and went on to achieve worldwide fame with hits like "Purple Rain," "When Doves Cry," and "Kiss."


Throughout his career, Prince won seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award for his music. He was also known for his flamboyant stage presence and androgynous fashion sense. Prince was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Tragically, Prince passed away on April 21, 2016, at the age of 57, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most influential and innovative musicians of his time.
