Artist Bio:
Pseudo Echo is an Australian new wave band that formed in 1982. The band's lineup originally consisted of Brian Canham, James Leigh, and his brother, Vince Leigh. Pseudo Echo achieved significant commercial success in the 1980s with their catchy synth-pop sound and flamboyant style. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1984, reached the top 20 on the Australian albums chart and featured the hit single "Listening."

One of Pseudo Echo's most well-known songs is a synth-pop cover of "Funky Town," which became a massive hit in Australia and internationally, reaching the top 10 in several countries. The band continued to release music throughout the 1980s and 1990s, although their popularity waned. Pseudo Echo has experienced various lineup changes over the years, with Brian Canham remaining the only consistent member. Despite their initial success in the 1980s, Pseudo Echo is often remembered as a one-hit wonder for their cover of "Funky Town."
