Puff Daddy, also known as Diddy, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of the record label Bad Boy Entertainment. In 1997, Puff Daddy released the song "I'll Be Missing You" featuring Mario Winans, which was a tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. and sampled the melody of The Police's hit song "Every Breath You Take." The song became a massive commercial success, topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart for eleven weeks.
In 2001, Puff Daddy collaborated with Mario Winans and Hezekiah Walker & The Love Fellowship Choir on the song "You Are My Friend." The track is a gospel-infused hip-hop song that showcases Puff Daddy's versatility as an artist. The collaboration was well-received and showcased the artists' ability to blend different genres seamlessly.
