The band's original lineup included members Craig Fuller, George Powell, Jim Caughlan, John David Call, and Jim Lanham. They gained popularity in the 1970s with their hits "Amie" and "Let Me Love You Tonight," which both reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Throughout their career, Pure Prairie League went through several lineup changes, with Fuller leaving the band in the mid-1970s and returning in the 1980s.
