Quarterflash was an American rock band formed in Portland, Oregon in 1980. The band was fronted by the husband-and-wife duo Rindy Ross on vocals and saxophone, and Marv Ross on guitar. Other members included Jack Charles on guitar, Rich Gooch on keyboards, and Brian David Willis on drums.
Quarterflash gained popularity in the early 1980s with their hit single "Harden My Heart" from their self-titled debut album released in 1981. The song peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band released a total of four studio albums between 1981 and 1985, with their biggest hits including "Find Another Fool" and "Take Me to Heart." Quarterflash's music is characterized by a blend of rock, pop, and new wave elements, with Rindy Ross's distinctive vocals and saxophone playing adding a unique touch to their sound.
