Quiet Riot is an American heavy metal band formed in 1973 in Los Angeles, California. The band achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with their album "Metal Health," which was the first heavy metal album to reach the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The album featured their hit song "Cum On Feel the Noize," a cover of the Slade classic. Quiet Riot's original lineup consisted of vocalist Kevin DuBrow, guitarist Randy Rhoads, bassist Kelly Garni, and drummer Drew Forsyth.
After the success of "Metal Health," Quiet Riot released several more albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with varying levels of commercial success. The band experienced numerous lineup changes over the years, with DuBrow being the only constant member until his tragic death in 2007. Quiet Riot continues to perform and release new music with different members, carrying on their legacy as pioneers of the 1980s heavy metal scene.
