Artist Bio:
Ral Donner was an American singer and songwriter born on February 10, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois. He is best known for his Elvis Presley-inspired style and sound, often being referred to as a "sound-alike" for his striking vocal resemblance to Presley. Donner gained popularity in the early 1960s with hits such as "You Don't Know What You've Got (Until You Lose It)" which reached the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1961.
Donner released several albums throughout his career, including "Takin' Care of Business" in 1961 and "Girl of My Best Friend" in 1961. Despite his success as an Elvis Presley sound-alike, Donner struggled to establish his own unique musical identity and achieve lasting commercial success. He continued to perform and record music until his untimely death on April 6, 1984, at the age of 41.
