Artist Bio:
The Ramsey Lewis Trio was a jazz group formed in 1956 in Chicago, Illinois. The trio originally consisted of Ramsey Lewis on piano, Eldee Young on bass, and Isaac "Red" Holt on drums. They gained popularity in the late 1950s and throughout the 1960s with their unique blend of jazz, blues, and soul music.

One of the Ramsey Lewis Trio's most well-known albums is "The In Crowd," released in 1965, which helped them reach a wider audience and achieve commercial success. The group won a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Performance in 1965 for their instrumental version of the hit song "The 'In' Crowd." The Ramsey Lewis Trio continued to record and perform together until the early 1970s when they eventually disbanded. Ramsey Lewis went on to have a successful solo career as a jazz pianist and continued to release albums and perform around the world.
