Artist Bio:
Rare Earth is an American rock band that was formed in 1969 in Detroit, Michigan. They are best known for their hits "Get Ready" and "I Just Want to Celebrate," which both reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the early 1970s. The band was one of the first acts signed to Motown's new Rare Earth subsidiary, which was named after the band. Rare Earth was unique in that they were one of the few all-white acts signed to Motown at the time.

The band's sound was a fusion of rock, soul, and funk, with a focus on extended jam sessions and energetic live performances. Rare Earth's music was characterized by their use of brass instruments, driving rhythms, and powerful vocals. They continued to release music throughout the 1970s and 1980s, with several lineup changes, and their songs have been featured in numerous movies, TV shows, and commercials.
