Born on September 23, 1930, in Albany, Georgia, Ray Charles Robinson lost his sight at the age of seven due to glaucoma. He began his music career in the 1950s and quickly rose to fame with hits like "What'd I Say" and "Georgia on My Mind."


Ray Charles was a versatile artist who could seamlessly blend different musical styles, incorporating elements of gospel, blues, and country into his music. He was also a talented pianist and was known for his distinctive voice and soulful delivery. Throughout his career, Ray Charles received numerous awards and accolades, including multiple Grammy Awards and inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame. He passed away on June 10, 2004, leaving behind a lasting legacy as one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century.
