Artist Bio:
Ray Conniff was an American bandleader and arranger known for his orchestral easy listening music. He formed Ray Conniff and His Orchestra and Chorus, which became popular in the 1950s and 1960s. The orchestra and chorus were known for their distinctive sound, which combined Conniff's arrangements with a vocal chorus singing wordless, harmonizing syllables.

One of the group's biggest hits was the 1966 album "Somewhere My Love," which featured their rendition of the song "Somewhere, My Love" from the movie "Doctor Zhivago." The album reached number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned Conniff a Grammy Award for Best Performance by a Chorus. Ray Conniff and His Orchestra and Chorus continued to release albums and perform until the 1970s, leaving a lasting legacy in the easy listening genre.
