He is best known for his hit song "Ghostbusters," which was the theme song for the popular 1984 film of the same name and earned him a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.
Parker started his music career as a guitarist and session musician, working with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Barry White, and The Temptations. He later formed the band Raydio in the late 1970s and had several successful hits including "Jack and Jill" and "You Can't Change That." Throughout his career, Parker has released solo albums and continued to collaborate with various artists. He has also composed and produced music for television shows and movies, further showcasing his versatility as a musician.
