Ray Parker Jr. & Raydio was an American band formed in 1977 by musician and producer Ray Parker Jr. The band's lineup included Ray Parker Jr. on vocals and guitar, Arnell Carmichael on vocals, Jerry Knight on bass, and Vincent Bohnam on drums. They were known for their unique blend of R&B, funk, and soul music, which helped them achieve commercial success in the late 1970s and early 1980s.


One of Raydio's most famous hits was the song "Jack and Jill," which reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978. The band also had other successful singles, including "You Can't Change That" and "A Woman Needs Love (Just Like You Do)." Ray Parker Jr. & Raydio disbanded in the early 1980s, with Ray Parker Jr. going on to have a successful solo career, including the iconic theme song for the movie "Ghostbusters."
