His most successful song, "Tell Laura I Love Her," reached number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became a popular classic of the era.
Peterson continued to release music throughout the 1960s, with other notable songs including "Corrina, Corrina" and "Missing You." He also appeared on various television shows and continued to perform live. Sadly, Ray Peterson passed away in 2005 at the age of 65, leaving behind a legacy as a talented singer who made his mark on the music industry in the early 1960s.
