Price was a pioneer of the "Nashville Sound," which combined country music with elements of pop and jazz, and he had numerous hits on the country music charts throughout his career.
Price's most well-known songs include "Crazy Arms," "Heartaches by the Number," and "For the Good Times." He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1996 and continued to perform and record music until his death on December 16, 2013, at the age of 87.
