Artist Bio:
Red Rider was a Canadian rock band formed in Toronto in 1978. The band's most well-known lineup consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Tom Cochrane, keyboardist Ken Greer, drummer Rob Baker, and bassist Jeff Jones. Red Rider released their debut album, "Don't Fight It," in 1980, which achieved moderate success in Canada. However, it was their 1983 album, "Neruda," that brought the band mainstream success, featuring the hit singles "Human Race" and "Napoleon Sheds His Skin."
The band's most popular album, "Tom Cochrane & Red Rider" in 1986, included the hit single "Boy Inside the Man." Despite lineup changes over the years, Red Rider continued to release music and tour throughout the 1980s. Tom Cochrane is also known for his successful solo career, particularly for the hit song "Life is a Highway."
