REO Speedwagon is an American rock band that formed in 1967 in Champaign, Illinois. The band's name comes from a flatbed truck brand, REO Speed Wagon. The original lineup consisted of members Neal Doughty, Alan Gratzer, and Joe Matt. Over the years, the band went through several lineup changes, with Kevin Cronin joining as lead vocalist in the early 1970s.


REO Speedwagon achieved commercial success in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hit songs like "Keep On Loving You" and "Can't Fight This Feeling." They are known for their arena rock sound and power ballads. The band has released over 15 studio albums and sold over 40 million records worldwide. REO Speedwagon continues to tour and perform to this day, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
