REO Speedwagon is an American rock band that was formed in 1967 in Champaign, Illinois. The band's name was derived from a flatbed truck brand mentioned in the novel "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. REO Speedwagon achieved significant commercial success in the 1980s with their album "Hi Infidelity," which included hit singles such as "Keep on Loving You" and "Take It on the Run."


The band's lineup has seen some changes over the years, but founding member Neal Doughty has remained a constant presence as the keyboardist. REO Speedwagon has released a total of 16 studio albums and has sold over 40 million records worldwide. They continue to tour and perform live, maintaining a dedicated fan base that appreciates their classic rock sound and enduring hits.
