Artist Bio:
Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a prominent civil rights leader in the United States during the 1950s and 1960s. He was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia, and rose to fame for his role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955, which marked the beginning of the modern civil rights movement. King was a key figure in many other nonviolent protests and demonstrations, including the March on Washington in 1963, where he delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech.

In 1964, King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to combat racial inequality through nonviolent resistance. He was also a prolific writer and speaker, known for his eloquent advocacy of civil rights and social justice. Sadly, King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, but his legacy lives on as a symbol of peace, equality, and justice.
