Richard Harris was an Irish actor, singer, and songwriter born on October 1, 1930, in Limerick, Ireland. He achieved international fame for his roles in films such as "This Sporting Life" (1963), "Camelot" (1967), and the Harry Potter film series (2001-2002). Harris was known for his powerful performances and distinctive voice, which also led to a successful music career. He released several albums, including the hit single "MacArthur Park" in 1968. Harris was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Actor and won a Grammy Award for his spoken word recording of Jonathan Livingston Seagull in 1973.


In addition to his acting and music career, Harris was also known for his tumultuous personal life, which included struggles with alcoholism and relationships. He passed away on October 25, 2002, in London, England, at the age of 72.
