Richie Sambora is an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known for his work as the lead guitarist of the band Bon Jovi. He was born on July 11, 1959, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Sambora joined Bon Jovi in 1983 and played a crucial role in the band's success, contributing to hit songs such as "Livin' on a Prayer" and "You Give Love a Bad Name."


In addition to his work with Bon Jovi, Sambora has released three solo albums and has collaborated with other artists in the music industry. He is known for his soulful guitar playing and strong vocal abilities. Sambora was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Bon Jovi in 2018.
